Antaeus was designed by world-renowned New Zealand yacht designer Laurie Davidson.
Built by Tony Ruiterman to ABS standards and launched in September 1992.

Antaeus has been successfully campaigned and sailed throughout the South Pacific and she has won many races and held several offshore records.

Antaeus has been fastidiously maintained and has undergone several major refits, including an extensive refit in 2006 when she was converted to a cruiser racer with the installation of electric winches, roller furling headsails and leisure furl mainsail.
Antaeus has a lifting bulb keel so that you can reduce the keel from 4m to 2.7m even whilst sailing. The lift keel allows access to shallow harbours and anchorages. She also has a bow thruster, making docking easy.

Antaeus has every modcon, she has a beautiful molded Rimu interior and leather upholstery , she has two staterooms, two bathrooms and accommodation for up to 10 people.

A powerful 112 horsepower Cummins diesel engine powers Antaeus to a cruising speed of 9 knots . This engine has been well maintained and serviced regularly.

Antaeus comes with an aquapro 3.5m tender and 2hp engine

Performance
Antaeus sails at upwind speeds of around 9 knots and is capable of doing in excess of 20 knots downwind.

She is ideally suited for ocean passages, does not require a large or professional crew and regularly exceeds over 200 miles, 24 hour runs.
